FOREHEAD LIFT

The essential aspect of an endoscopic forehead lift is that compared to former methods only one small incision is made at the middle hairline of the forehead and two additional cuts behind the hairline at the temples which will reveal the muscles that cause furrow lines. Two nerve segments on both sides have to be prepared and preserved .
The muscular tissue will then be thinned out, allowing no more contractions. The result is a smoothing of the forehead lines .

After surgery the head will be wrapped in a special bandage for 2-3 days and a drainage will be placed to minimize swelling and building of hematoma (blood clots).

Risks to be expected are most seldom and could be a post surgical bleeding with visible hematoma, an infection, or a damaging of the above mentioned nerve segments which however will not affect the function of the muscular tissue but only cause a light feeling of numbness which will disappear after some time.
Except for a few small hematomae we did not experience any complications so far.

We have performed this method for 8 years and patients have not reported any negative changes in the results of the surgery.

The surgery takes 45 to 60 minutes and can be performed under sedation. For patients who are rather scared as well as patients with a prominent or high forehead I recommend a general anesthesia (monitored by a specialist).

A post surgical light swelling , also around the eye region, will be visible and disappear within 2 weeks after surgery.

Since the 1st of April, 2006, publishing of “Pre-/Post-Pictures” is forbidden by german law.
Of course we will show you these pictures within a personal consulting discussion.
