Liposuction is not a weight reduction method but a cosmetic procedure where unwanted fat deposits are removed from certain areas of the body, such as hips, inner thighs, outer thighs (saddle bags), inner side of knees, calves and ankles.
Liposuction can also be performed on stomach or back, preferably when these areas are also being tightened. It can also be performed on the chin area to remove a so-called double chin.
If only small areas of the body have to be treated a local anesthetic will be sufficient but as most often multiple areas of the body are concerned the procedure will be performed under general anesthesia.
We perform the traditional liposuction technique in combination with an ultrasonic assisted liposuction (Liposculpturing) and we apply the so-called tumescent technique which is a liposuction method where areas of excess fat are injected with a large amount of fluids.
After surgery a compression garment (suit) will be applied and has to be worn for a few days.
The results of liposuction will be more effective on younger skin, rather than on wavy or lumpy aging skin.
Following before and after photographs are showing only aesthetic-plastic surgery procedures.
These photographs do not show corrections or treatments related to any pathological deformations.
